All I know is that this one hopefully will not give me a major headache:p that is one thing I can't seem to get over when I watch 3D on tv after say 30 or so minutes I start to get headaches (or eye strain never can be sure) so no thanks I rather have higher resolution than 3D any day. Now when do we get of this 3D and go 4K:D
haha, i'm getting abit of a headache reading all these posts...

so op your from ameria right? here were i live in the uk bisiness have generally leased lines that is dedicated symetric bandwith for them only and its garenteed. here the general costs are for dedicated 10 meg down 10 meg up about 400 a month over copper pairs, or depending where you are about 600 for 100mb down 100mb up dedicated over fiber. id figure out the difference betwwen a eqiv connection in america and your cost of your current curcuit and try budget that in too. 10 meg up 10 meg down will be plenty.Who is your provider please? That's a lot cheaper than I've been quoted :D
Edit: To keep my post on topic, OP you may want to have a look at this (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1045086) (although it seems a bit OTT spec-wise), this (http://www.simplynas.com/data-robotics-drobopro-48tb-business-bundle---3-x-drobo-pros-and-24-x-2tb-hitachi-seagate-sata-ii-drives.aspx) (how cheap NAS storage can be) and this (http://blog.backblaze.com/2009/09/01/petabytes-on-a-budget-how-to-build-cheap-cloud-storage/) (just because ;))
Attach a server to serve the storage and terminate VPN connections and you should have a working solution for a reasonable cost.

The cost doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is the potential of leaving it on and proceeding to have sex on the couch, inadvertently launching nuclear war heads on Russia.

Nokia's claims might be easier to believe if Apple made crappier products, like Nokia, which clearly demonstrated stolen IP. As it is, this is like a elementary school fingerpainter accusing Michelangelo of stealing his style.

Do we know the make and model of the minivan? I'd be interested in seeing what the hood/front design is like.
Wow! That couple needs some serious marriage counseling. Hopefully, they can work out their issues and get back to a healthy marriage.
Wouldn't that make for great small talk when making new friends? "Well, there was this one time we got into it and..."

I think we can all agree that Nokia's meat and potatoes has been in dumb phones. They are present in the smart phone market, but this merger if you will with Windows is going to be their attempt to really recreate themselves in a market they were not very successful in.
I don't think we can agree that. Nokia practically invented the smartphone with the Communicator line starting in 1996. Between Symbian and the Communicators, not sure how you can make that statement.

The share thing is quite tricky isnt it?
Last time there is a report adding the sale of ipads to the apple computers, then apple instantly overreaches at least two major pc competitors in only one quater? i believe most CS5 users run their job on non-mac platform, and adobe may have that data. Just curious whether CS5 shows the same performance on both platforms if identical computer resources are offered. I guess those editors have their preference since they usually possess several workstations for specific jobs and they can try it out.
I actually work in a place that sells and designs high end workstations for people, and there are a lot of people running CS5 on macs. Many editors work with both, and even if they prefer CS5 FCP is still used a lot, and not being able to open a FCP project could cost you a client. It is best to go with a system that can run all major NLE's (FCP, CS5, and Avid). Also the cost of a PC editing workstation is not much cheaper then a Mac workstation.
And don't forget Davinci Resolve, which only works on Macs.

That would be cool. iPod Shuffle (USB stick) -> iPod Shuffle (clip) -> iPod Shuffle (earbuds) -> iPod Shuffle ear implants.
Add a glowing apple logo implant into my neck along with brain to ipod control and I'm so there.

I'm just hoping for a fix to a reauthentication bug that has been dealing me fits with the iPad 2 and the last update. I travel a lot and joining hotel wifi and maintaining a connection has been a pain in the you know what the last few weeks.

who needs 8gb, sheesh. i barely use 2gb of my 4gb of ram as it is. even using photoshop, I have never seen it max out.
I call 4GB the base Minimum RAM. I have 8GB on my MacPro for CAD and Photoshop. It gives things (including OS X) room to breath, and not create loads of swap files. In other words you dont get as many damn spinning beach-balls!

We need Mr. Jobs to give us something like the Ten Commandments!
We need him to tell us how to live when he is gone.
I really hope that data center was built to upload his consciousness.
