But the online store that I linked to (www.apple.com/store) reflects products that are sold for U.S. customers. What are European regulations going to do in the States?
Because Apple has to redesign the Airport Extreme.
They cant make one for the U.S. and another for Europe.;)
It's the same for the firewire iSight.

Rent-a-cops have guns? And shoot people IN THE HEAD? I'm amazed.
That said, this is pretty ******. Sure, the guy was a criminal lowlife, and he certainly deserved punishment, but I don't think he deserved to get killed. Oh well.
The only problem I have is that only one of these jerks ended up dead. Seriously, the legal system failed us a long time ago, we don't have much of a choice anymore. Frankly I abandoned all hope of ever seeing crime effectively reduced in this country when the Supreme Court decided it was illegal to execute minors which is one of the Courts most stupid and politically motivated decisions ever. Society is best served by removing the criminal element as early as possible.

Apple is starting to be less and less inovative. The iPhone UI hardly changes for the last 4 years. But hey, lets sue everybody.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. iOS 5 will fix anything that's trailing and then we'll see everyone follow Apple's footsteps again.
Wouldn't you be annoyed if someone took an essay of yours and copy/pasted it with a few tweaks? Same principal.

You could just use teleport http://www.abyssoft.com/software/teleport/
Teleport isn't the same. Teleport is a way to CONTROL a second computer, I'm referring to a way to specifically use extra direct-connect monitors.
Not to mention... Why would you want to use the new iMac as a display on an older computer? By the time this iMac is obsolete and ready for re-use as a display, you'll have a newer/faster/better computer to connect it to.

Are you insinuating that Apple should put out a gaming system to compete for PS3 dollars, or just the holiday dollars in general and right now the PS3 is the "Hot Ticket" this coming Holiday season?
Just wondering.....
No, don't be so silly or literal. PS3 dollars are the money people have dedicated to buy the PS3 -- the defacto "big ticket" item this year. Apple needs a product that will compete for that money...and press converage. Everyone and their mother got an iPod last year. Apple needs to pull a fresh product out of Jobs pocket; not a storage bump or new skins for the nano. THAT is what I'm saying.

although i dont know enough about the bittorrent protocol to fully understand the effects of prioritizing consecutive pieces.
I think you just hit on why you can't watching streaming video with Bittorrent.

Sounds more viable for video then a 3 inch screen on a portable hard drive.

I have to conclude that people who want to use their 10 year old CRT are just incredibly cheap and don't value their screens as much as being able to claim how fast their CPU is.
Maybe, with the current pace at which CPUs are improving, I would want to upgrade my CPU every 18 months but my screen only every 36 months?

you don't remember www.jailbreakme.com last year? you swipe and it installs all kinds of code on your iphone
Wrong. It takes more than a swipe. It requires user interaction.
Is there nothing AV trolls won't stoop to in their vain efforts to sell their useless software?

That's my point. You don't have to. Most of the ereaders have the ability to swap books as loaners. This is all still very, very new to our society and I am sure that as we progress this is the way it will become.
You, sir, get it. The technologies create new capabilities that will adapt to the market. The luddites are only capable of seeing innovation as a loss.

Hmm... Does this really count as front page news?
Not to say it isn't cool, but we're still talking about an artist rendition based on a reliable source... Not the iPhone "revealed".
Just my 2 pennies. ;)
When i just went to MR, and this popped up, I almost had a heart attack. wallet ready before the story eved loaded. I was quite dissapointed. i am waiting for this SO much. this is the one device i would bu at the drop of a hat

Creative does not have 100 mil to blow on lawyers. Either way you look at it, apple legal cost would not have approached 100 mil.
Even though the SCO case is not a patent dispute, it's a good example of how a company with pending legal disputes with potentially big outcomes can always find sources to finance their lawsuits.

I second this prediction
I don't really feel like reading the article from the Chicago Tribune again, but I believe (though, due to my lack of reading it again, I may be creating a major faux-pas) that it said that she bought ten of the red iPods... so unless she only has 10 guests, I'm doubting that EVERYONE will get one; however, I do agree that there will be some sort of giveaway.
Cheers

Now read through the rest of the posts after that and discover that Finder does not support Cut and Paste.
And where in the first post from the OP did they mention 'in the Finder'?

You're impressed that a chip not even available yet beats a chip from june 2003?
No Im amused that people still think (more or less wish really) the G5 is better.
