Seems unfair to kill someone for robbery. Yes they're breaking the law, but only deserve a prison sentence. Do you really really think someone should be shot and killed for attempting to steal a few laptops and smash a few windows? If you do then man you have issues.

i thought this from my first post, but his join date is 08, and he's a regular. that is what has me thinking that what he is saying is really how he thinks/acts.
I looked through some of his older posts, and while none of them are quite as obvious about how shallow and uncaring he is you can tell that he probably doesn't include the whole story. For example, he likes to argue with his neighbors (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=978345&highlight=) I'm guessing that we only got half the story in that thread. I doubt we'll see some headless tower (apart from the macpro) i honestly don't think its in apple's interest to openup a new price point. Mac mini provides a nice entry for windows users, people wanting something next to their tv, or have the monitor etc already. MacBook provides mobile low end. iMac allows a bit more power and features over the mini for home users wanting a bit more and companies and people who dont need the power of the Mac Pro. MacBook Pro is high end portable allowing for graphics, photography, design, etc, and to some extent gaming on the go. The Mac Pro is the beast, a workstation more than a desktop and therefore is over specced for the normal user. But why put in a new model in between a imac and a mac pro when having the gap forces people looking for more than an imac to go for the mac pro and increase revenue. By creating an 'in between' model it takes sales away from the popular imac and the expensive mac pro, would probably have to have lower margins to get people to buy it and would just float about in the middle. Maybe die a fate similar to the cube? I don't see it being a smart move.

Gaming is very different and can not use slow memory, it needs to be snappy. Apple does need to make the Gamer machine but it does not have to be as big as the Mac Pro. Because its **** as it doesn't have straightforward unit conversions and because everyone else in the world other than the US (and for a small number of things the UK) uses metric.
I guess the issue is that changing over to miles per litre would be worse, and litres per 100 kilometres is the other way round so difficult to get your head around if you're used to miles per gallon.

Well if there are no real consequences to carrying a gun, and shooting it at guards since I might only be facing jail time, it sounds like criminals should try more often. I mean hell, that's a big safety net, they should have tried banks better pay off and they can try multiple times since the only consequence is possible jail time.

I think this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. It seems highly unlikely a 23 inch imac would emerge (or even should emerge). On top of that a bigger imac with Merom? Makes no sense, a bigger imac should have Conroe. ;)

Erm... that is wrong. All major Hollywood DVDs are encoded as progressive full frames at 23.976fps. The interlacing you are seeing is the result of adding pulldown frames to pad it out to 29.97 interlaced for NTSC. And since they are encoded anamorphically, it uses the full 720x480 and depending on your output display, either gets letterboxed or stretched wide on a real 16:9 HDTV.
Are iTS movies letterboxed? If so, then the quality of iTS movies is closer to 640x360.

I though that an in car GPS just receives the signals from the satellites and works out your position. How can that be tracked? :confused:

I'm looking at getting a new iMac fingers crossed for the following:
- Bluray (I know... but it would be nice)
- Thunderbolt
- USB3
- AMD Radeon HD 67XX-68XX with up to 2GB RAM (it wont happen though :()
- Space for 2 HDD (I know, again it would be nice for two internal drives)
- i5 and i7.. Hopefully no i3 in the line up.
- Up to 24GB...
Again if I can't get an iMac with beefier video card it looks like another Alienware with Linux...
