2011 is all about the iPad2...........period.........no iPad 3 until next year. Otherwise Steve would have said " three quarters of 2011 is all about the iPad 2 and the rest of it is about iPad 3"......don't you people listen????

I want to get one TODAY, I've been waiting since April for this. I wonder if they're available in the phyiscal apple stores. Someone else said their local apple store won't have them till later this week... but I live in NYC, so I could go to flagship 5th Ave. store, maybe they're more likely to have it today. I guess I'll have to break down and give them a call (as if they haven't already had 5,000 calls today asking the exact same question).

I installed Sophos on our two Macs after it was released. On my Macbook Pro, there were four quarantined items, all in the Cache area, all having to do with Java. Nothing showed up on the iMac. And they weren't threats so Mac, but to Windows.
Sophos really does run quietly, and doesn't appear to hog memory. Still, I uninstalled it. There isn't a version for iOS, and I get and send a lot of files from my iPhone and iPad. I'm not really saving anyone using Windows from those threats unless I limit all activity to my Macs -- and that's a bit counter productive.

Just ordered with the X1900 upgrade, memory upgrade, and Bluetooth. Says three to five weeks to ship.

I absolutely cannot believe airport and bluetooth are still options on the Pros. They are standard on EVERY other model. What the hell, Apple?

Actually, you can get by with a mid/high level iMac now for most graphic design needs (photoshop, illustrator, etc) these days and even average video editing needs

1) summon and place one or more new monster to any empty room(s), provided he has the required turns/points. Bigger and badder monsters cost more points. Once a monster is assigned to a room, it can never be moved elsewhere or otherwise removed by the villain.
2) build one or more new trap and place it in any empty room, including already explored ones, provided he has enough points. Bigger and more painful traps cost more points.
1 and 2 can be combined in one turn, provided enough points are available
3) heal himself (1 HP per 1 point)
from any position he can
4) move to another room (similar to the heroes, each room he moves through consumes one turn)

The Apple iPhone would have to be better in functionality than a Blackberry to be considered useful, unless they can work out a better input device method or utilize Microsoft's Vista speech recognition program.

Well a really fast computer at a reasonable price that you don't have to wait months for? I'm pinching myself before I make the call and order one. The idea that this could be what the original dual 2gig G5 that I (and a lot of other people) waited months for and really was kind of a ho-hum experience updating from a dual 800 quicksilver. Just playing around with a dual core iMac and being impressed says "this has got to be the one". The promise that they made for the G5 and didn't come across with. I would really like to play around with one of thses and say WOW!, not try to remember if it opened Photoshop faster than my quicksilver or not. 4 X 2.66Ghz Woodcrest�oughta do it!

I would welcome this. I enjoyed the features during the free trial period, but couldn't justify $99 per year for it. Since then they've added Back to My Mac, the Find my iPhone feature, and improved its reliability, so I would love to have access to it again, minus the cost. On top of what I pay for cellular service, another 9 bucks a month just seemed inconvenient.

I wonder how many of these they'll sale? If it's not due out until September, but everything still points to a summer release of the iPhone 6, which is supposed to be a redesign, then why not wait six more months? I'm due for a new phone this June and if the iPhone is delayed til September I will certainly wait six more months and get the redesigned one. I'm not crazy about this form factor anyway.

Too big! This is what M$ didn't understand. The value of a tablet is NOT simply being able to write on the screen of a laptop. Tablets need to be comfortable in one hand, they need to be able to collect information (text, drawing, audio, still and motion video), they need to be able to play back information (on its own screen, but also on TVs, projectors, etc), and they need to be able to sync up with home computers. I probably want some functional capabilties (e.g. iPhoto red eye and retouch, or simple text/excel type input) but I DO NOT NEED TO RUN PHOTOSHOP ON MY TABLET! I will transfer my data/photos/video onto my main computer to do that kind of work.
If you give me a highly portable dock (something I can toss in a bag, and whip it out if I need it), then I won't need a bevy of I/O devices (firewire, s-video, etc) on the tablet itself. That can shrink the size, weight, and heat output.
If Apple does release a device like this, I make only one prediction about it. Some idiot will try to run Quake on it and report the framerate. "Because how can you justify an $(N*100) device that runs Quake at only (F) fps?"
